µVISION: CAN'T LOCATE DEVICE BOOKS USING DEFAULT ROOT

SYMPTOM

In the Components, Environments and Books — Books tab, the Default Root isn't applied properly when I try to access a Device Specific Data book from the Project Workspace.

CAUSE

This can happen if the drive and folder name given for the Default Root contains embedded spaces or doesn't match the Book Path specified for the document.

RESOLUTION

If the folder name you want to use contains spaces, enclose that folder name in quotes. For example, to set the Default Root folder to C:\Documents and Settings\, enter the following into the Default Root text box:

"C:\Documents and Settings\"
