QUESTION

The MCB900 supports other microcontrollers in the LPC family besides the LPC932 or LPC935. Is an adapter required to use these other LPC family microcontrollers on the MCB900?

ANSWER

Philips has created adapters that will allow other LPC microcontrollers to be used in a LPC93x socket. The adapter plugs into the LPC932's socket.

The Philips PAB90x-1 adapter supports the LPC901, LPC902, LPC903 microcontrollers. The Philips PAB90x-2 adapter supports the LPC906, LPC907, LPC908 microcontrollers.

These adapters can be purchased through Philips.
