MCB900: SERIAL CABLE WIRING

Information in this article applies to:

  • MCB900 Evaluation Boards

QUESTION

I just received the MCB900 evaluation board and there is no serial cable. Where can I get one or how can I build one myself?

ANSWER

The MCB900 serial cable is a straight-through cable. Pin 1 is wired to pin 1, pin 2 to pin 2, and so on. You can obtain this cable from almost any PC retailer. You need a standard M-F 9-pin serial cable.
