RTX166: MISSING SYMBOL 'RTX_WORKSPACEPATTERN'

Information in this article applies to:

  • RTX166 Version 4.10

QUESTION

I updated from an older version of RTX166 to Version 4.10. When I compile my project, I receive error messages such as:

*** ERROR L128: REFERENCE MADE TO UNRESOLVED EXTERNAL
    SYMBOL: rtx_WorkspacePattern
    MODULE: C:\KEIL\C166\LIB\RTX167HL.LIB

Why do I get these error messages? What is the WorkspacePattern used for?

ANSWER

RTX166 Version 4.10 improves debug support by adding workspace patterns for workspace usage analysis. This affects the files RTXSETUP.H and RTXCONF.C (formerly RTXCONF.C66), which must be replaced when migrating from earlier versions of RTX166.

For more information, see include files RTXDAT.H and RTXSETUP.H
