ULINK: POWER-UP SEQUENCE

QUESTION
Is there a specific power-up sequence that I need to consider when connecting the ULINK to an XC16x device?
Does it matter in what order I power on the ULINK and the target system?
ANSWER
There is no power-up sequence requirement for connecting a ULINK to an XC16x device. As long as ULINK is not powered, the XC16x device will be held in the RESET state. This is not typically a problem since connecting an OCDS debugger usually indicates that you want to debug your system.
