µVISION DEBUGGER: CAN'T BREAK AT ISR USING OCDS AND XC16X

QUESTION

I'm using C166 V4.24 with an Infineon XC16Board Rev. 2.00 with an XC164CS chip, and LPT/OCDS interface to debug my application. Everything works perfectly except the breakpoints at my ISR (Interrupt Service Routine). I know my ISR is working properly because it toggles a yellow LED over the board, but the breakpoints don't work.

Is there any special setting required to break the execution?

ANSWER

There's actually no special setting for that. It was a DLL problem due to a specification change in the Infineon documentation that wasn't covered in the current OCDSXC.DLL.

RESOLUTION

The problem is solved since C166 V4.27, so you need to update your software to the current version.
