QUESTION

I'm currently using an Infineon 165UTAH board and debugging my application in RAM using OCDS as described in Application Note 146. Now I would like to store my application in ROM (in FLASH memory to be exact) and still use the ODCS debugger. How do I use the OCDS debugger with my application stored in ROM?

ANSWER

An example application that is configured for OCDS debugging with the Infineon EASY UTAH board is available in the folder: ..\C166\Examples\Boards\Infineon EASY UTAH. Basically, it is important that the BUSCON / ADDRSEL / SYSCON configuration settings under Project - Debug - Driver Settings match with your target hardware. This topic is covered in the OCDS User's Guide. Refer to C16xU and C165UTAH Devices.
