ISD51: USING SERIAL PORT 1 WITH THE MSC1210

Information in this article applies to:

  • ISD51 Version 1.00

QUESTION

I'm working with ISD51 and the TI MSC1210 chip. ISD51 is written to work via Serial Port 0. However, my application also uses Serial Port 0. Consequently, ISD51 won't work.

Is there any way to configure ISD51 to use Serial Port 1 of the TI MSC1210?

ANSWER

Yes. An updated revision of ISD51 supports Serial Port 1 using interrupt vector 3Bh.

RESOLUTION

This is corrected in the C51 V7.02 (and later) update. You may download the latest updates from the Keil Website.
