C251: BANKSWITCHING IS NOT AVAILABLE IN V2

QUESTION

C251 V2.12 does not include bank switching but V1.x did. When will it be added back into the C251 Release?

ANSWER

Keil Software is the only 251 tools vendor that includes bank switching in a 251 C compiler package. We added this feature in Version 1 to address the needs of several key customers.

C251 Version 2 introduced a new compiler technology that generated much higher code quality. However, the bank switching capability was removed from this release.

C251 Version 3 re-introduces the bank switching capabilities found in Version 1. If you require code banking, you may continue using your older Version 1 tools or you may use the Version 3 tools.
