µVISION: CHANGING ORDER OF FILES/GROUPS IN A PROJECT

QUESTION

Is it possible to change the order of files and groups in µVision?

ANSWER

Within µVision, you may drag and drop files in and between groups. However, there is no way in µVision to change the order of the groups.

Moving a File From One Group to Another Group...

1. Move the mouse pointer to the file name.
2. Click the mouse.
3. Drag the file name to the new group.

Changing a File's Position in a Group...

1. Move the mouse pointer to the file name.
2. Click the mouse.
3. Drag the file name to the new position.

Changing Group Order...

There is no simple way to change the order of the groups in a project. To do this, you must modify the *.UV file directly using a text editor like notepad. If you modify the UV file, make certain that you create a backup copy before you begin. When editing this file, be very careful to re-associate the source files and group options after changing the group order.
