C51: EVAL AND THE FLOATING-POINT LIBRARY

SYMPTOM

I'm using the Keil µVision evaluation software for my application. When I try to build my project, the linker always looks for C51FPL.LIB and C51L.LIB but cannot find these files. How do I get past this problem?

CAUSE

The C51 Evaluation Tools do not include floating-point arithmetic support. This is the most likely cause of this problem.

RESOLUTION

The only solution to this problem is to either not implement floating-point arithmetic or purchase the full license kit.
