µVISION DEBUGGER: INTERRUPTS DIALOG

Information in this article applies to:

  • C51 All Versions
  • µVision Version 2.20a and later

QUESTION

In the µVision Debugger, when I look at the Interrupt Dialog (Peripherals - Interrupt) I see only the vectors for the base 8051 interrupts (0-4). I know that the C51 compiler supports more interrupts. The NOINTVECTOR compiler flag is not used. Why don't I see more interrupts?

ANSWER

The interrupts displayed in the Interrupt dialog show the interrupt sources for the selected device. Even though the C51 compiler supports up to 32 interrupts, not all of these are used on every 8051 derivative. The interrupts that are available depend on the chip you use. Make sure your chip supports the specific interrupt your are looking for.
