µVISION: FIND IN FILES DIALOG OPEN SLOWLY

SYMPTOMS

The Find in Files dialog takes more than 10 seconds to display.

CAUSE

The Find in Files dialog stores all previous keywords and pathnames in the registry. When there are more than 200 entries it may take a long time to open this dialog and to fill the combo-boxes. µVision 2.20 and later fixes this problem by limiting the maximum number of keywords and pathnames to 128.

RESOLUTION

Install µVision 2.20 or later. If this is not possible you may delete the entries in the registry manually.

1. Open the REGEDIT registry editor.
2. Select HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Keil -> µVision2 -> _FindLst and _FoldLst and delete most items there.
