µVISION DEBUGGER: DDE INTERFACE
Information in this article applies to:
- µVision Version 2.10 and earlier
SYMPTOMS
I've been using the DDE interface. Everything works great in Windows NT and Windows 2000 but I couldn't get it to work in Windows 98.
CAUSE
DDE for the µVision Debugger is enabled only on Windows NT and 2000. Windows 98 and Windows 95 generate side-effects when using the DDE interface in combination with the Adobe Acrobat reader version 3.x.
RESOLUTION
DDE has been obsoleted and replaced by Development Tool Connection (DTC) Interface in the year 2000.
In µVision 3, it has been replace by the µVision Socket Interface.
