µVISION: GREY CHECK BOXES IN FILE AND GROUP OPTIONS

Information in this article applies to:

  • µVision Version 2.10

QUESTION

When I set options for my C and Assembler files in µVision, I've noticed that the checkboxes can be Checked (black), Checked (grey), or Not Checked. What do these mean and why are there 3 different states?

ANSWER

µVision lets you set the options for a Target, for a Group, and for a File.

If you don't specifically set an option for a File, the option setting from the Group configuration is used.

If you don't specifically set an option for a Group, the option setting from the Target configuration is used.

In the Group and File configuration options, the check boxes mean the following:

  • No Check: Indicates that the option is not used or selected.
  • Dark (black) Check: Indicates that the option is used or selected.
  • Light (grey) Check: Indicates that the configuration setting from the Group (if in a file) or Target (if in a group) is used.
