QUESTION

Is it possible to specify little-endian vs. big endian format for the A51 Assembler's DW instruction?

ANSWER

There is no way to specify the endianness of the DW directive, however, the following macro stores a word in reverse byte order:

RDW MACRO DWVAL
    IF NUL DWVAL
        EXITM
    ENDIF
    DB LOW DWVAL
    DB HIGH DWVAL
ENDM
