µVISION: PROBLEMS WITH THE XDATA SIZE IN TARGET OPTIONS

SYMPTOMS

In µVision, I cannot change the XDATA size in the Project - Options - Target dialog box. When I set the starting address and size to zero, µVision resets the size to 0x10000 when I return to this options page.

CAUSE

We have confirmed this is a problem in µVision. It will be corrected in the next release. You may download the latest updates from the Keil Website.

RESOLUTION

If you clear the starting address of the XDATA memory (in the target options dialog) and clear the size of XDATA, µVision erases these fields and does not update them.
