µVISION: MEASURE EXAMPLE PROBLEMS IN EVALUATION SOFTWARE

QUESTION

When using the Keil Evaluation (DEMO) Software to build the MEASURE example program, I receive the following message:

Fatal Error: L210
Exception 0021H : Path or file not found

The linker can't find \KEIL\C51\LIB\C51FPS.LIB.

I searched the entire C51 folder and cannot find it anywhere. What am I doing wrong?

ANSWER

The C51 Evaluation Software is limited to 2K and does not support floating-point. The error you receive indicates that C51FPS.LIB cannot be found. This file is the library for floating-point math for small model programs and it is only included with the licensed software.

The MEASURE example, as provided, is already compiled and linked so you can run it. It is too large to modify and/or rebuild using the evaluation tools.
