µVISION DEBUGGER: DUAL DATA POINTER SIMULATION SUPPORT

QUESTION

I am starting a new project using the Anchor (Cypress) USB controller with a 8051 core. This device has dual DPTR registers. µVision has this device in the target list and the target options window suggests that dual data pointers are supported. However, initial testing revealed the second DPTR did not simulate. Is this a known problem or am I doing something wrong?

ANSWER

This is a known shortcoming of the simulator in µVision V2.05. This feature will be added in the V6.02 release of C51. When this update is available, you may download it from the following URL:
