MCBX51: WHAT DOES P1.0 DO?

Information in this article applies to:

  • MCB251 Evaluation Boards

QUESTION

When I reset my MCB251 Board, P1.0 is off and all other LEDs are on. Why?

ANSWER

On reset, the MCB251 sets P1.0 to indicate whether the internal RS232 or the external RS232 is used.

The P1.0 status LED is ON when the internal RS232 interface is used for the Monitor/PC Interface and OFF when the external RS232 interface is used for the Monitor/PC interface.
