I see references to the MCB251 Evaluation Board as well as the MCB251SB Evaluation Board. Are there 2 different 251 boards?

ANSWER

Yes. There are 2 different 251 evaluation boards.

  • In 1995, Keil Software released the MCB251SB Evaluation Board. This board supported only the Intel 80c251Sx device. The manual for this board may be found at the following URL: http://www.keil.com/manuals/mcb251v1.pdf.
  • In 1997, Keil Software released the MCB251 Evaluation Board which supported Intel 80c251Sx, the Intel 80c251Tx, the Intel 151, the Temic 251A1, the Temic 251G1, the Dallas Semiconductor 320, and the Dallas Semiconductor 520.
