C161: DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PK161 AND PK166

Information in this article applies to:

  • C166 Version 3.12
  • C166 Version 4.03

QUESTION

What's the difference between the Keil C161 Compiler and the Keil C166 Compiler?

ANSWER

  • The PK161 Professional Developer's Kit supports only the C161 devices
  • The PK166 Professional Developer's Kit supports all C16x devices including the C167, C166, C165, C164, C163, and C161 parts

If you need full support for all C16x and ST10 devices, you should get the CA166 or PK166 kits. If you only use the C161 devices, you can get the PK161 kit.
