µVISION1: UPDATE PROJECT EXCLUDES CHANGED HEADER FILES

QUESTION

When I change a header file that is included in my project and then update my project, µVision doesn't include the changes. It only includes the changes if I select build all. What's going on?

ANSWER

You need to enable dependency checking in µVision. Look at the Misc Tab in the Make Options dialog box in the Options menu. Check the box that says "Automatic dependency checking" or "Scan include files" and files will update the way you expect.
