Project Migration

Project migration depends on which tool you will use.

RealView MDK

The RealView MDK uses the Keil µVision IDE as its project environment. Therefore, RVDK-ST projects must be imported from RVDK into µVision to enable use of the MDK tools. Application Note 193 guides you through this process.

RealView Development Suite (RVDS)

If you use RVDS, your RVDK-ST project must be imported into RVDS. This can be into either the CodeWarrior environment or the Eclipse IDE plug-in. Alternatively, a generic make utility could be used. As RVD's project manager makes use of make files, the folder where *.prj file exists should also contain the following make files:

• IFM_Debug.mk
• IFM_Release.mk

Migrating the debug and release makefiles to makefiles compatible with another generic makefile utility would probably be the easiest way forward for migration from 2.1 to 3.0.
