Evatronix Fastest 8051 Now Fully Supported by µVision4
Bielsko-Biala/Poland, Aug 10, 2009 - The silicon
Intellectual Property (IP) provider, Evatronix SA, today announced
the full support of its R8051XC2 microcontroller IP, the world's
fastest 8051 compatible design, by the ARM® Keil™
µVision4 Integrated Development Environment. Starting today
users of all Keil µVision tools suites can make use of all the
advantages of the most popular 8-bit controller architecture in the
market.
"The µVision®4 IDE builds on the success of
what is widely acknowledged as the most popular development
environment for microcontrollers," said Mark Onions, Director of
Marketing, System Design Division at ARM. "Now, with support for the
R8051XC2 processor, developers using the 8051 architectures can
benefit from faster hardware and software development and
verification."
"The joint forces of Keil µVision4 and R8051XC2 offer a
level of application development ease that is unmatched in the 8-bit
world," said Maciej Pyka, 8051 Product Line Manager at Evatronix.
"Both companies have done a huge leap forward over the last year, and
the effort now pays off with the benefits for our customers."
About Keil µVision4 Integrated Development Environment
µVision®4 has been designed to enhance developer's
productivity, enabling faster, more efficient program development and
verification. The flexible window management system introduced in
µVision4 enables developers to use multiple monitors and
provides complete control over window placement anywhere on the
visual surface. The new user interface makes better use of the screen
space and organizes multiple windows more efficiently; delivering an
uncluttered, efficient environment to develop applications.
About Evatronix R8051XC2 microcontroller IP
The R8051XC2 is the newest iteration of the Evatronix 8051
microcontroller IP, which over its 12 year evolution has been
successfully implemented in more than 200 designs worldwide. The
R8051XC2 is the fastest 8051 IP core ever compiled under Keil
µVision IDE, with a performance gain of up to 12 times,
compared to the original Intel chip operating at the same
frequency.
To facilitate application development, the R8051XC2 is featured
with highly configurable implementation options, as well as a set of
peripherals with I2C, SPI, UART and others that can be trimmed to
customer requirements.
The R8051XC2 is ready to work with the Evatronix
Application-debugging Support Environment (EASE), consisting of a
built-in On Chip Debug Support module, Evatronix Debug Pod for hassle
free communication between FPGA prototype and PC, and the Evatronix
Debug Interface for Keil µVision IDE.
Also, for rapid USB, Ethernet or HDLC SoC design, the R8051XC2 can be
delivered as an integrated development with these peripherals and
corresponding software IP.
