Keil MCBSTR730 Evaluation Board for STR730 Devices
Plano, TX: Keil is pleased to introduce further support for
ARM7-based microcontrollers from STMicroelectronics with the release
of the MCBSTR730
Evaluation Board. This new evaluation board is based on the
STR730FZ2 and offers 256KB Flash ROM, 16KB RAM, various timers,
16-channel 10-bit ADC, CAN, UART, SPI, I²C, DMA, RTC, PWM, and
112 I/O ports.
The MCBSTR730 features the following board-level components:
- The STMicroelectronics STR730FZ2, ARM7TDMI based MCU.
- Dual Serial Ports.
- Dual CAN Interfaces.
- Two 7-segment LED's.
-
a JTAG interface for flash programming and target debugging
with the ULINK USB-JTAG
Adapter.

MCBSTR730 Evaluation Board
The MCBSTR730 includes an evaluation version of the RealView MDK-ARM
Microcontroller Development Kit which features the ARM
RealView compilation tools and the Keil µVision IDE, Debugger,
and Simulator. The MDK-ARM includes numerous example projects for
ARM7 family programming and many example projects that are
ready-to-run on the MCBSTR730. Example projects that work with the
STR7 Software Library and the RealView Real-Time
Library are also included.
While other ARM Development Kits rely solely on the Embedded ICE,
the Keil µVision Debugger offers complete device simulation
including accurate simulation of the instruction set, on-chip
peripherals, interrupts, and other characteristics of the STR730
device series. The advantages of complete device simulation
include detailed trace & timing analysis and automated input
patterns for regression testing. These extensive simulation
capabilities support detailed analysis of complex algorithms that
interface to peripherals and help developers overcome challenges
unique to embedded systems projects.
