Keil MCB2140 Board for USB Applications
Plano, TX: Keil Software extends its development tools
portfolio for ARM with the MCB2140 Evaluation Board. The
MCB2140 uses the new Philips LPC2148 ARM power microcontroller which
is a superset of several other Philips LPC214x
device variants.
The LPC214x devices introduce a USB 2.0 Full Speed port
with 32 double-buffered endpoints and direct memory access (DMA)
support for high-speed USB data transfer. In addition, the USB
peripheral provides Good Link™ LED output and Soft
Connect™ functionality. Improved on LPC214x is I/O speed
with up to 15MHz frequency.

MCB2140 Evaluation Board
Getting started with USB ARM devices can be difficult and
time-consuming since both test hardware and software examples are
required. For this reason, the Keil Software MCB2140 Board
comes with an evaluation version of the Keil Development Suite for ARM that
includes extensive example projects which introduce you into the
usage of the LPC2100 devices.
The example projects include two ready-to-use USB example
projects:
Both USB examples run on the MCB2140 and require no additional USB driver software on your
PC. The USB device support for these examples is already built into
the Windows operating system.
For programming and debugging, the Keil tools support Flash
programming and software debugging via the JTAG interface and the
Keil ULink USB-JTAG Adapter
(available separately).
