Temic Changes Company Name

Starting in August 2000, TEMIC Semiconductors will change their name to Atmel Wireless & Microcontrollers. (See http://www.atmel-wm.com/ for the complete story).

Atmel Wireless & Microcontrollers, formerly TEMIC Semiconductors, regroups, as in the past, all the activities of the sites of Heilbronn, Germany (wireless communications, broadcast media, automotive & wireless control) and Nantes, France (microcontrollers, FPGA conversion, ASICs & Aerospace), the offshore operations in the Philippines as well as its worldwide sales organization.

Atmel Wireless & Microcontrollers intends to pursue and reinforce its position in the markets where its competencies are recognized, namely Communications, Automotive, Industrial, Data-processing, and Aerospace & Defense.

8051 Development Tools from Keil Software fully support all 8051-compatible devices from Atmel Wireless & Microcontrollers.
