PKLPC-8K Extension for EPM900

The PKLPC-8K Extension for EPM900 supports application programming for the complete 8K Flash ROM address space of the NXP (founded by Philips) LPC900 devices. The PKLPC-8K is a customized version of the Keil PK51 Professional Developers Kit which allows you to generate programs that exceed the 4K address space limit of the LPC900 Development Studio. It includes high-speed floating-point arithmetic libraries for the SMALL memory model.

The PKLPC-8K Extension for EPM900 is only available for users of the EPM900 LPC Emulator/Programmer. The EPM900 must be connected to your computer.

The following are included with the PKLPC-8K:

Limitations

The PKLPC-8K Extension for EPM900 has the following limitations:

  1. The 8051 compiler, assembler, linker, and debugger are limited to 8K of object code. Source code may be any size. Programs generating more than 8K of object code will not compile, assemble, or link.
  2. The debugger supports 8K files or smaller.
  3. No hardware support is available for multiple DPTR registers.
  4. The EPM900 LPC Emulator/Programmer must be connected to your computer.
  5. The following PK51 components are not included:

    • ISD51 In-System Debugger,
    • LX51 Extended Linker,
    • Code Banking Support,
    • Library Manager,
    • and RTX-51 Tiny Real-Time Operating System.
  6. It is not possible to generate assembler source files or use in-line assembler features.
