Monitor

The MCB167 Evaluation Board includes a pre-configured monitor (MON166) which may be downloaded using the on-chip bootstrap loader or programmed into EPROM. Several configurations of the MON166 Target Monitor are available for use with the MCB167 Evaluation Board.

The MON166 Target Monitor provides a direct interface for source-level, symbolic debugging with the µVision Debugger. Use the serial port of your PC to download and debug target programs on the MCB167 Evaluation Board.

MON166 allows you to:

  • Display memory contents in ASCII and hexadecimal,
  • Interactively change memory contents,
  • Display and change register contents,
  • Initialize memory with constant values,
  • Disassemble program code,
  • Assemble in-line code,
  • Run programs with breakpoints in real-time,
  • Single-step through your program,
  • Step over subroutines,
  • Upload and download Intel HEX files and OMF166 object files.
