Freescale Kinetis Overview
New! MDK-ARM is now fully supported in the Freescale MQX RTOS!
The Freescale Kinetis portfolio of ARM® Cortex™-M4 processor-based MCUs consists of five families for a total of over 200 devices that are pin-, peripheral-, and software- compatible with outstanding performance, memory, and feature scalability. The portfolio includes a comprehensive selection of peripheral options and innovative FlexMemory technology.
The Kinetis device families include:
Kinetis devices offer FlexMemory technology, which provides versatile and powerful solutions for flexible memory usage. Application Note 220 describes how to configure the Flexmemory using the Keil MDK-ARM toolkit.
This lab introduces you to the Freescale Kinetis devices using the Keil MDK-ARM toolkit. The lab demonstrates the benefits of use of Serial Wire Viewer (SWV) and ETM Instruction trace which delivers code coverage and performance analysis on the Kinetis K40 and K60 devices.
New! Support for Freescale MQX
The Freescale MQX Software Solution includes MQX RTOS, TCP/IP, and USB stacks. MDK now offers tight integration with MQX along with ready-to-run project files and task-aware debugging features.
The Freescale Kinetis families are fully supported by the Keil development tools which provide a completete development environment for creating, debugging and verifying embedded applications.
