How to use the check8.exe utility? What are the parameters? I got this example form the download. check8 %1.bin /s0x0000 /e0x3FFE /p0x3FFF /v0x80 What do the parameters mean? check8 can force the checksum to be a fixed number. How does it do that? Jon, Thanks. I read the article 494 before I posted my questions. The checksum function was "outside" the rom in the article based on my understanding. My checksum function needs to be "inside" the rom. 51 will run from the rom. By the way, the example I posted did come from the csumex.zip. I didn't see any explanations about how to use check8.exe elsewhere but the csumex.zip. Unfortunately the information was not enough. chao.
