Why do you feel that there is one magic standard interface that any random taximeter is using?
Call the manufacturer, and give them a very, very good reason why they should send documentation to you. Start by describing how your work would increase their sales of taximeters by your value-added service.
As an alternative - start the reverse-engineering efforts.

I'm beginning to suspect spam bots might be posting many of these very odd posts. Notice the number of empty 'NO SUBJECT' posts (removed posts) of late. A number of spam bots have been extremely active recently. An entire community (Search Engine Optimizers) use these 'bots' to seed forums to get hits on there site (it's all about money).
Many of them post 'real' messages to appear as if they are contributing to the message board (they are quite easy to catch) so that they can spam later on. They also purposely misspell words and use poor English (or whatever the lingua franca is in the message base).
The bots search the messages automatically in the message base and create questions based on the subject matter (an advance Eliza program basically). They also measure the number of replies to a post as a metric of how active a message base is so they can post spam there (sigh). It is also a measure of how good the program is in constructing messages that 'work'. If you ask me they are EXTREMELY warped people, and need to do something else with there life.
I'm hoping this is someones spam bot and not real people myself.

On the other hand, it could just be that it's the beginning of term, and students are just being handed their first assignments...
Or both.
