Dear friends,
Can Anyone help me on the IIC communications. I am using 50 terminals of microcontroller (P89LPC936)8051 base. I don't know how to communicate with each of them. pls help me.
Thanks,
K. Saravanan
I2C was invented by Philips - now NXP - and they still own it. Therefore, NXP must be your starting point - including the full I2C Specification:
www.standardics.nxp.com/.../
Keil also has a page about it: http://www.keil.com/i2c/
See the P89LPC936 Product Info Page (PIP) for specific details: www.nxp.com/.../P89LPC933_934_935_936_6.html
And there is, of course, tons of information all over the web - so fire-up your favourite internet search engine...
How far apart are they?
Note that I2C was designed for connections between ICs on the same circuit board - not really for interconnections between equipments.
Note also that there are limits to the maximum capacitance on the bus...
HI each of them are 1 meter far.
