I cannot flash P89LPC9408. I am using LPC900 EPM emulator/programmer to flash. While configuring the EPM900 flash programmer, I could find the P89LPCP408 in the device options. But in Options for Target1/Device TAB i can select P89LPC9408.

When I tried to select compatible other compatible P89LPC9401. I got download error saying 'Target device is not P89LPC9401'.

The LPC9408 is an extended LPC938. Therefore select and P89LPC938 form the list. Also you should select ICP mode.

You need to connect the ICP of the LPC9408 device to the related EPM900 pins (see pin layout of LPC938). There are only 5 pins needed for ICP programming.

I tried out flashing with the settings mentioned in AN10258.pdf. I selected P89LPC938 device, Programming mode as ICP, Adapter - Pin to Pin.

I am getting Error: Programming failed. LPC Device in programming socket does not response.

What could be the reason for this error.

have you tried to use straight FlashMagic, no "uVision link" or such?
