Hi All,
do anyone here have any idea of how to change the printer port for 8051 microcontroller into USB port.

New! Explain?

First, choose the right toolset - 8051, not 80251.

What printer port are you talking about?
The 8051 architecture doesn't have a specific printer port as such - if you're talking about some specific device, you need to give full details.

Or are you talking about some developmnet tool(s) that use the PC's LPT: port to connect to the 8051 target system?
If so, you will have to contact the specific tool manufacturer(s).

New! RE: Explain?

As in head of the cable is for printer port is that possible to change to USB?

The cable is connected to the PC. Another end of the cable is connnected to the circuit itself.

The circuit itself has LED, 8051 and etc.

It is surely possible. I think you are talking about one stuff just like Keil's ULINK or Silicon Lab's EC3/EC5, etc.
But what's your exact mean? Do you want change the LPT driver into USB driver both in hardware and software by yourself, Or are you just searching a ready-to-use black box? And either case does nothing with Keil tool-chain.

New! Explain more

"head of the cable is for printer port is that possible to change to USB?"

Almost certainly not - see the link I posted earlier.

You are going to have to Buy or Upgrade To a system that is designed to work on USB - it is most certainly not simply a matter of changing the connector!

"The cable is connected to the PC. Another end of the cable is connnected to the circuit itself."

What does the cable do?
Is it simply for Flash programming, or does it also support debugging, etc?
What PC software does it work with?
