I know that this thread may not correspond to this forum, but I hope some users know about this subject. What kind of light batteries I can use for Phytec KitCON-161 eval board(supply voltage: 8-12V / 500mA). First of all I used 12V from PC. I tryed a 9V Zinc Chloride battery but the eval board can't run with it. Could it run with an unrechargeable battery? Thanks. You need to understand that "9V" alone is not an adequate description of a battery! As well as the voltage, the battery has to be able to supply the current requirement of the board. If you're using a "9V" battery like this: http://www.gpbatteries.co.uk/images/products/primary/img_greencell_9v.jpg It is quite likely that it can't deliver 500mA! If the board really does require 500mA, you will need a set of (at least) AA size alkaline batteries. A 12V lead-acid battery might be more suitable? They have less inner resistance than alkaline batteries. | |
