Any recommendations pro/cons from among the systems supported by uVision? | | Read-Only Author Andy Neil Posted 8-Oct-2005 23:34 GMT Toolset C51 | RE: Version Control Systems Andy Neil This has been discussed before - try a Search.

Never bothered to try "integrating" it into UV2, though - not sure what the benefit would be... | | Read-Only Author Martin Euredjian Posted 8-Oct-2005 23:49 GMT Toolset C51 | RE: Version Control Systems Martin Euredjian Right. I did search.
The posts I found didn't cover my question exactly, hence my message.
In the case of qumasoft, what are the pros and cons for your recommendation? Why might one choose it over a different system? | | Read-Only Author c d Posted 9-Oct-2005 00:00 GMT Toolset C51 | RE: Version Control Systems c d I use Perforce. It is a very high integrity version control system. It is free for 2 users/client workspaces, else you have to pay for it.
I don't know if it integrates with Keil though, for I don;t find a svcs file, but I do know it does integrate with CodeWarrior for which I am very familiar and use everyday.
Anyway, even if it does not integrate directly with Keil you will see a R/O in Keil if you can not modify a file when it is open in your project. So just close it. Open for write in Perforce and then re-open in Keil.
There is a Microsoft format that Perforce adhears to so if Keil does then contact Perforce directly. I have not approached them yet for I am satisfied with this little irritation.

If you need a little advice on setting up say so offline.
A fabulous svcs. | | Read-Only Author A.W. Neil Posted 9-Oct-2005 01:07 GMT Toolset C51 | RE: Version Control Systems A.W. Neil "Why might one choose it over a different system?"
Compact, simple, cheap - and it works! | |
