New year greetings! Is there any ETA for next ARM MDK update since 5.26.2.0?
Can we see the changelist?
Especially I'm interested in armcc compiler compatibility with Win10 1809. Because of it I had to roll back to 1803 and stop updates, but win10 updates cannot be delayed indefinitely.
Thanks and regards, Pavel A.
I'm curious as to what compatibility issues you are having and whether they are the same as mine. I have an issue where compilation keeps freezing and I have to "kill" uVision to abort the build and try again.
5.27pre was posted last year
@g g:
After 1809 update compiling every single C file fails with message:
compiling main.c... "no source": Error: #869: could not set locale "" to allow processing of multibyte characters
My source files are plain ascii, no any "multibyte characters:. The system locale is plain US English.
@Westonsupermare Pier - thanks, I know that update is in work. Asking about the final release, not "pre".
Thanks, - pa
I thought so too but I can't find it. Perhaps it has been removed.

I have seen the 'locale' issue with Win10-1809 and Arm compiler 5 here as well. Got it working again after adding
--locale=US
to the
Options-for-Target - C/C++ - Misc
command line. Arm compiler 6 did not show this issue.
Thank you GP F, this can save me if it works.
Heaven forbid any potentially breaking changes and enhancements in compiler or assembler! Only fix annoying bugs in the 5.26.2 IDE and debugger. Enhancements in the debugger are welcome too. And release it as 5.26.<next>.

Ok then is there any estimation for 5.27 Release (not "pre") ?

The cause of this issue has been identified. The workaround solutions are summarized here http://www.keil.com/support/docs/4100.htm
