I am using a automatic reset feature by using a transistor switched reset via DTR for the MCU. All codes are programmed and working except any of those that deal with serial communication. As soon as I open hyper terminal and connect to my MCU board the DTR constantly holds 8051 to reset and system doesnt works. Here is the image link where I have used my MCU and connections. www.quora.com/.../What-pins-are-used-to-upload-a-program-to-a-8051-IC
So use something other than HyperTerminal which you can configure the connection so as not to use DTR/DSR, or set it in a fashion that doesn't reset the chip.
Make a lead that doesn't connect the DTR pin.
I have made this circuit except I have used MAX232 in place of CP2102. Pls refer www.sunrom.com/.../8051-development-board-sst89e51 . I hope other terminal softwares dont make this reset problem happen at all.
hi peoplr.
has anybody here made any progress on the 50hz 60hz inverter project. any experimentation with it.
i said i neede it last week and nobody answered yet.
i need it quick so plz email me some details.
Works well - listens to the mobile networks to auto-detect if it should generate 50Hz or 60Hz and to adjust the output voltage depending on where in the world you use it. The only disadvantage is that if you start the inverter when all cellular base stations are down (maybe after a massive power outage) then the inverter will refuse to power on since it can't auto-calibrate output voltage/frequency.
