STM32F3 and external SPI Flash, how programing?

STM32F3 and external SPI Flash, how programing?
I would like to use External SPI flash memory as storage for pictures on LCD.
Looking for a way to fill the external Flash content
when programming the processor using the programmer (J-LINK) via SWD
when you upgrade firmware via bootloader (USB or USART)
I do not know how to do it, there is some howto or appnote
