RTC Power Sense While IC Running

Hi,

I use LPC1768 IC.
For a my manifactured board, I must sense RTC Pin plugged or not while IC working.
I couldnt make any modification on board.

While IC working, RTC Clock and RTC Backup Memory dont use RTC battery so I cant sense it.
Can I close internal Power source for RTC unit?
Or any solution with software modifications?
