I just downloaded MDK 4.23. I noticed that Keil has included an
eclipse plugin. While I'm sure this is a nice to have for some
developers, I hope its not a sign that Keil plans to discontinue
uVision anytime soon. I personally hate eclipse and the fact that
Keil's tools were not eclipsed based like many other embedded tool
vendors, was one huge factor in my purchase of MDK-Professional. IMO
eclipse is bloated and slow, unlike uVision which is simple and fast.
Sure there are a few features in eclipse that I would not mind seeing
in uVision but overall uVision is a great IDE.
Cheers,
Mark

RE: uVision continued development

That may be true if you only develop on a single micro-controller
that does not interact with any other device. But for developing with
multiple targets, or in many different languages ... eclipse is the
way to go.
