Trying to in-circuit debug code on the Silabs C8051F330 using the
Silabs USB debug adapter, I experience frequent freezes/crashes when
starting/stopping execution using uVision 4.20. When I debug the same
code in the same manner using the Silabs IDE, I never experience
crashes.
The error message I get is "Invalid Target response".
There are certain features I prefer in uVision when debugging,
otherwise I would use the Silicon Labs IDE.
I am using the latest SiLabs uVision driver (3.5.0)
This has been an issue with all previous versions of uVision and
earlier SiLabs drivers as well.
Thanks for any advice.

well, Keil and SILabs are notorious for being "out of synch" and
there are other issues, years ago I gave up on debugging through
Keil.
Just curious what are the "certain features" It cant be a problem
with an extra field on the taskbar.
well, using CodeWright instead of the "very simplistic" Keil
editor I am not IDEing fully, maybe that relates to my "so what"
having the debugger outside.
