Does anybody know how to stop the flow of automatic messages from Keil? I can't stand it any longer. Keil, I would like to mention that I never asked you to send me whatever you find suitable to send. If you want me not to take part in your forum, you could say it directly without terrorizing me with your post machine. Michael.
Do you mean the messages titled "Msg posted on Keil Discussion Forum?" Actually, you probably have requested them - it's just that the facility has been broken for ages! When you post a message to this forum, there's a check box "Send me an e-mail message when someone posts to this thread" There is a similar box on the "Configure My Settings" page (see the link in the sidebar): "Check this box if you want to receive an e-mail message whenever anyone posts a new message to a thread you have posted to." - I presume that this defines the default for the corresponding box on the Post page? This facility hasn't been working for ages (ie, you check the boxes, but get no notifications), but now they seem to have fixed it.

Yeah... A couple of us were working on the e-mail fix for the forum and... AT THE SAME TIME... we were also updating one of our servers to apply a few security patches. Anyway, we forgot to turn our e-mail account back on. :-( When it was re-enabled, there was a back log of about 5 days worth of e-mail that got sent out. Sorry for that. I think we'll probably post a better message on the forum about the e-mail checkbox. We really just intended the e-mail to help everyone get faster responses to forum postings. Jon
