A colleague and I have both started using uVision recently. We are attempting to develop RTX based projects and have been running both provided examples and projects that we created from scratch. We are often seeing unexplained behavior while in debug mode. Instead of seeing only the tasks that we create there are usually about 10 other tasks with hex values for names. Most of the information displayed in the table is also incorrect (I wish I could include a screen capture). The project is executing correctly in the hardware however (A2F-EVAL-KIT and ULINK2). We both have Windows 7 64-bit machines and we have seen this on uVision 4.14 and 4.2. We zipped a project folder and sent it to support but all they could say was that the something had been corrupted. Has anyone else seen this?
Thanks in advance, Brandon
I have the same or similar problem but no solution until now. do you solved it? thanks in advance if you let me know.
Yes I have the same problem. Sometimes I also see many tasks with hex values for names and sometimes I see my initialization-task running and after the initialization is done this task is deleted and disappears but the new created tasks don't appear. Any ideas?
We found a work around for this issue. When you see this issue, close the RTX Tasks and System window and the Event Viewer window in uVision. Then stop and restart the debug session. When you restart the debug session, you will have to reopen those two windows under Debug -> OS Support but they will come up functional again. For us the best solution was to get into the habit of always closing those windows when stopping a debug session.
I hope this helps.
Brandon
Thank you for your workaround. It seems to work. I hope Keil will eliminate this issue soon.
