hi!! i need help regarding 8051 timers and counters. like i am making project in which i have to use both timer and counter. i just want to ask whether we can use timer and counter at the same time or not? for eg. i have to count no. of persons and then open the gate using dc motor for the particular period of time. in this, i have to use both counter as well as timer. plz help.

There is a big difference between needing timers and counters at the same time, and needing a counter first, and then needing a timer.
But more importantly - what have you done? What have you tried? What do you believe? Where are you stuck? Always try to solve a problem yourself first.
