Read-Only Author Andy Neil Posted 1-Sep-2010 11:24 GMT Toolset None | RE: i am not getting the software to download Andy Neil If you go to the Products page - http://www.keil.com/product/ - the 4 download links for the available toolchains are clearly shown down the left-hand side of the page. There is also a link to request a physical CD. OK? |

If you're having trouble with the downloads, why not contact your local distributor? See the 'Contact' link... |

I think you need to learn some basic electrical principles before moving on to digital electronics and microcontroller programming...! :-0 |

Read-Only Author Per Westermark Posted 1-Sep-2010 12:30 GMT Toolset None | RE: can i connect the 1.5 voltage batteries in series so they produce 5volts Per Westermark Yes, but the sum of voltages from the batteries (after taking into account that the battery voltage drops under load) must be enough higher than 5V to fullfill the regulation margin the 7805 requires. A low dropout regulator needs less extra voltage to manage to produce a stable 5V output. |
