I am doing adc characterization and want to find the inl and dnl of the adc ...so can anybody tell me the formula to do so or give the link where i can get that...i have the tabulation of the analog input and the digital output using both the available data how can i calculate the inl and dnl of the adc.....
Maybe 'inl' and 'dnl' are standard ADC terminology or maybe they only mean something to you. Either way, you're going to have to explain what they are.
In which case a standard text on ADCs would be the place to look?
Nothing to do with Keil, though...
so can anybody tell me the formula to do so or give the link where i can get that
Hmmm... so you don't know what those things are, but you want to calculate them. Interesting.
That sounds way too much like someone who skipped class and now wants others to do their homework for them. Well guess what: it's your homework, so you do it.
thanks for your reply... i know the theoretical approach to do the inl and dnl of adc for 3 bit adc. but the same method cannot be applied for 8 bit by plotting in the graph..thats why i asked to do it by programmatically... well i hope this makes you sure that i have not bunked the class..!!! INL=intergral non linearity DNL=differential non linearity..
Believe it or not, but it took about 20 seconds to find this app.note on the net:
