the dos-box from our windows 2000 allways hang, when we start the C51 Compiler for DOS V4.00. Is there a solution | | Read-Only Author Ziegler Beda Posted 17-May-2002 13:11 GMT Toolset C51 | RE: C51 V4.00 and Windows 2000 Ziegler Beda The support from Keil was very fast:
Dear Mr. Ziegler Beda,
sorry, but this compiler cannot be used under Windows 2000. Windows 2000 can be used with C51 Version 5 or higher, but not with C51 Version 4. C51 Version 4 is now about 10 years old and I guess it is time to upgrade.
I hope this answer helps you. Let me know if you have further questions.
Best regards Reinhard Keil

Somthing like "Of we will upgrade your 10 year old product for for free to work under a platform that was never supported.". | | Read-Only Author Beda Ziegler Posted 17-May-2002 14:41 GMT Toolset C51 | RE: C51 V4.00 and Windows 2000 Beda Ziegler We run this Compiler under Windows NT. So we like to know, if there is a idea to run it under Win2000 with a special setting in the Win2000 | | Read-Only Author Andrew Neil Posted 17-May-2002 15:53 GMT Toolset C51 | RE: C51 V4.00 and Windows 2000 Andrew Neil I don't know about Win2k, but Win98 used to have a "Make Compatible" utility (mkcompat.exe?) to get dodgy old 16-bit software to work under Win98. | |
